The Uganda Cranes Wednesday continued with preparations for the regional derby to be played over two legs against Rwanda in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers scheduled for October 7 in Kigali and 10 in Kampala.
The team of local players held a training session on Wednesday morning at the Omondi Stadium, Lugogo where the technical team took the players through drills that helped on strength, power and mobility.
After the session, the head Coach Sredojevic Milutin reduced the squad to 28 players while the other five have been placed on the standby list.
Uganda kicked off their campaign with a goalless draw in Kenya and another barren stalemate in their second outing in the group, at home to Mali, one of the strongest sides in Africa right now.
Mali are topping Group E on four points, just two ahead of Kenya and Uganda. Rwanda sits bottom with only a point.
