A speeding truck has killed on spot its driver and injured two other people in Kabalagala after ramming into parked motorcycles and a building, police say.

According to ASP Luke Owoyesigire, the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson, the accident happened at around 9am on Sunday at Semakula Stage along Ggaba-Munyonyo road truck Tipper Forward Reg number UBF 997V lost control and rammed into parked motorcycles UEN 888Q, UEH 814G and a building.

The driver of the truck identified as Richard Musoke died on spot.

“The body of the deceased driver was plied out of the wreckage and taken for a postmortem at Kampala Capital City Authority mortuary at Mulago,” says Owoyesigire.

He says two yet to be identified victims have been rushed to St. Francis Hospital, Nsambya, for treatment and that all motorcycles and motor vehicle involved have been towed to police yard pending inspection.
