Parliament is set to resume business on Thursday, 7th September 2017.
On Tuesday, parliament was suspended by Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah until further notice, pending a report from the ministry of internal affairs over the recent murder of women in Entebbe and Nansana areas.
However, according to a notice by the clerk of Parliament, Jane Kibirige, the August House will resume business on Thursday.
“I have been directed to inform you that Parliament will resume the Plenary
Sittings on Thursday, 7th September 2017 at 2.00 p.m,” said the notice.
The notice was copied to the speaker of parliament and her deputy.
