British envoy gives CID equipment to fight crime  

The British High Commissioner to Uganda, H.E. Peter West, on Tuesday handed over an assortment of equipment to Uganda police force.

H.E West gave the items to the director criminal investigations (CID), AIGP Grace Akullo, at a handover ceremony held at CID headquarters based at Kibuli.

He said the equipment was meant to boost the directorate’s capacity to investigate transnational crimes such as drug trafficking.

The equipment include; Narcotics drug testing kits, cameras, computers, printers among others.
