Renowned gospel musician, Levixone might have got more than he bargained for following a successful music concert on Saturday.
The youthful singer dared to stage a show dubbed after his hit song ‘Turn the Replay’ at the vast Cricket Oval in Lugogo and the turn up was extraordinary.
He had banked on a miracle from God and going by the thousands that turned up and how the show was organized, his prayers were answered.
But it was at the tail end of the show that he got what was perhaps the biggest surprise of the night.
His musical peer, gospel singer Afande Lanek took to the stage and announced he was gifting Levixone with a car. A Mercedes-Benz convertible.
As Levixone gazed in awe, Lanek said: “While i helped my brother [Levixone] to pick some of the musicians at the airport, he asked my driver to try and drive this particular Benz”.
“I looked at him and he surely looked good in it. Levixone, the Lord has just spoken to me come for your car tomorrow,” Lanek who sung ‘Batuwayiriza’ added.
After a very successful year and now a record concert at the Cricket Oval, it looks like the boy from Kosovo will not only smile to the bank. He will drive to the bank.
Earlier during the show, Spirit FM presenter, Wesley who hosted the event had warned secular artistes of being outcompeted in days ahead given the growing popularity of Christian focused music. He asked the crowd at the concert to supporr gospel musicians since they too need to drive posh cars and build good houses.
Several other artistes like Abel Chungu (Zambia), Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Coopy Bly, Maurice Kirya, Exodus as well as Kenya’s DKwenye Beat and Kris Erroh performed at the concert.
