FUFA Receives Micho’s Letter

The Federation of Uganda Football Association [FUFA] has said it is in receipt of a letter from Mr. Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic terminating his services as Uganda Cranes coach.

The Serbian coach on Friday terminated his contract with FUFA putting an end to his stay as Uganda Cranes coach.

Micho told press at Kabira Country Club in Bukoto, a Kampala suburb that FUFA had failed to pay him Shs230m salary and allowance arrears.

“I have been doing my work diligently and also been very patience when it comes to payment,” Micho told journalists in Kampala.

The coach said he has received eight offers from very big teams across the big continent with Uganda being No.9.

“FUFA would like to thank Mr. Sredojevic for the services rendered to the Uganda Cranes during his time as coach of the National team especially when he guided the country to the AFCON finals in Gabon for the first time since 1978,” the federation said in a statement.

It said Ugandans will forever keep those memories with them.

“FUFA will keep the public and members of the football family updated in due course on the way forward about the technical aspects of the Uganda Cranes.”

The statement further reads: “FUFA wishes Micho the best in his future adventures. It is Our Game, It is Our Country.”
