The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Sports has reminded all pensioners who were not validated by Ministry of Public Service that the grace period of two months which was granted to have all missing pensioners appear for validation has elapsed.
“The purpose of this Press Release therefore is to advise all concerned pensioners to report to the Ministry Of Education and Sports Headquarters Plot 9/11, King George VI Ways, Embassy House for clearance before proceeding to Ministry of Public Service for validation,” PS Mr. Alex Kakooza said.
He said the list of the unvalidated pensioners can be viewed at the Ministry website: www.education.go.ug or Ministry Notice Boards.
The pensioners are required to present: National ID, Bank Statement, Appointment Letters, Letter of confirmation, Letter(s) of promotion (if any), Letter of retirement, Death Certificate (where applicable), Letters of Administration (where applicable) and Written explanation why you missed validation exercise.
Failure to appear to the Ministry by 28th July, 2017 will trigger deletion of the affected record from the pension payroll with effect from 1st August, Mr Kakooza warned.
