Barely a week since comedienne, Anne Kansiime had her Facebook hacked, socialite Zari Hassan’s Instagram account was also been taken over on Monday.

Zari was hacked and could not access her Instagram Monday morning.

It follows similar cyber attacks targeting other popular female figures in the showbiz, including Mona Faces and Judith Heard whose Instagram accounts were also hacked in a space of weeks.

Zari, the latest victim had 4.2 million followers on Instagram.

The unfortunate incident coincided with her daughter, Tiffah’s third birthday.

Galston Anthony, Zari’s manager made official communication through his social media that they were doing their best to restore her account.

‘’Please note @zarithebosslady is being hacked. We doing all we can to fix it. I will go live in 10min in her behalf to give me details,’’ he posted Monday morning.

The hack did not spare her Facebook too. On Monday, Zari’s Facebook was spammed with nude pictures.

Hackers behind the attack allegedly demanded USD 4,000 (Shs 14.8 million) in Bitcoin from Zari Hassan. It is unclear whether she actually gave in to the demands or the glitch was fixed using other means.

Initially, the hackers changed her Username to ‘You are hacked’. But by publication time, the Username had changed again to the original one, ‘zarithebosslady’. This points to a possibility that the socialite regained access to the account.
