Socialite, Zari Hassan is set to be judge and patron in the upcoming search for Uganda’s next beauty queen. The Miss Uganda 2018 search was launched a few weeks ago.
“The Miss Uganda beauty pageant is proud to announce its first patron and judge for Miss Uganda 2018, Zarithebosslady,” said Brenda Nanyonjo, the CEO Miss Uganda Foundation.
Acccording to Nanyonjo Brenda, the event is geared towards a celebration of beauty with a purpose to inspire young women to succeed in life.
As Zari settles for this new venture she is expected as well to officiate at some corporate social responsibility activities organised by the Miss Uganda Foundation.
Zari has an education background in beauty having graduated with a Diploma in Cosmetology from London in the United Kingdom, where she attended a beauty school. She is currently an entrepreneur running a cosmetics store among other businesses.
“Zari will always be our guest speaker especially on activities targeting young girls organized by the Miss Uganda Foundation,” Nanyonjo said.
The build up of activities will culminate into the finals of the Miss Uganda pageant in which a beauty queen will be selected to replace, Zahara Muhammad on August 10 2018 at Kampala Sheraton Hotel.
Earlier this month, organizers for the Pageant opened the application process for eligible participants in this year’s search.
Requirements include consent from parents or guardians, a minimum of S.6 Certificate, with 5’6 height and not married. Participants must be between the age of 18 and 24, with no children and possess a Ugandan passport or national I.D.
