Media personality and CEO of Buddies TV Production company, James Kazoora (J Kazoora) could spend the next 6 months in Luzira prison if he fails to clear his debts.
Kazora was arrested and sentenced to 6 months in jail for defaulting on a bank loan amounting to Shs 53 million.
High Court in Kampala on Monday evening sent Kazoora to Luzira prison for 6 months. He owes rge said money to United Bank of Africa (UBA).
Kazoora was arrested on Monday at Lugogo by-pass in Kampala by court baillifs from Tuskem Associates who have been trailing him for the past one year since he breached the payment schedule he made with the bank United Bank of Africa (UBA) from where he borrowed the money in 2015.
Deputy registrar in-charge of the Execution Division of the High Court Deo Nzeyimana signed the committal warrant sending Kazoora off to civil prison.
He also ordered United Bank of Africa to pay a daily fee of Shs 3,000 to cater for Kazoora’s meals while in jail.
