C-Care has completed the acquisition of Roswell Hospital, a 30-bed multi-speciality facility in Kampala’s Central Business District, in a move that expands the healthcare provider’s presence in Uganda.
The transaction was completed on September 8, 2026, with Roswell Hospital formally joining the C-Care network, according to a company announcement issued on Thursday.
The acquisition brings C-Care Uganda’s network to six hospitals and 17 clinics, strengthening its presence in Kampala and expanding its capacity to provide specialised medical services.
Roswell Hospital serves more than 30,000 patients annually, with a focus on women’s health, maternal and child care, and fertility services.

C-Care said the acquisition would allow it to build on the hospital’s existing services while strengthening its operations and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery across its wider network.
Azhar Sundhoo, chief executive officer of C-Care East Africa, said the acquisition was part of the company’s growth strategy and its efforts to expand access to healthcare in Uganda.
“We are pleased to welcome Roswell Hospital into the C-Care family. This acquisition strengthens our presence in Kampala and adds to our capabilities in women’s health, maternal and child care, and fertility,” Sundhoo said.

“It is an important step in our growth strategy and reinforces our commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare in Uganda. We look forward to building on the hospital’s strong foundation and the opportunities this creates for our patients, teams and partners,” he added.
The next phase will focus on integrating Roswell Hospital into the C-Care network, strengthening its operations and exploring ways to improve services across the group’s facilities.
C-Care Uganda is part of C-Care Group, a regional healthcare provider operating across multiple markets. Its Ugandan network offers medical services across a range of specialities through its hospitals and clinics.
