Nairobi, Kenya – September 2026 – Following the important discussions and commitments made during the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81), Alliad, a global leader in integrated services and part of Agility Global, has launched Season One of Empowering Africa Podcast, a new platform bringing together leaders, innovators and changemakers shaping the continent’s future.

For Alliad, the podcast reflects a broader philosophy: moving from doing business in Africa to doing business with Africa. As a company committed to doing business with Africa, Alliad believes meaningful progress starts with meaningful conversations. Through candid discussions and real-world perspectives, Empowering Africa connects listeners with the people helping shape the continent’s future, while exploring the ideas, partnerships and practical solutions needed to support sustainable growth and development.

The launch follows the important conversations at UNGA81 around sustainable development, investment, climate resilience, digital innovation, international cooperation and the partnerships required to deliver meaningful outcomes. Against this backdrop, Empowering Africa provides a platform to continue the dialogue beyond the General Assembly and explore what it takes to turn Africa’s ambitions into practical action.

Launched against the backdrop of UNGA81’s theme, “Restoring Trust, Managing Transformation: A United Nations That Delivers for All,” the podcast will bring together business leaders, policymakers, investors and other influential voices to explore Africa’s growth and transformation — from infrastructure, healthcare and supply chains to digital innovation, investment, sustainability and inclusive economic development.

The philosophy behind the podcast reflects a shift in how Alliad approaches its work across the continent: not simply doing business in Africa, but building businesses, partnerships and solutions with Africa and with the people and institutions shaping its future.

A distinctive feature of Empowering Africa is that each episode is hosted by a different senior Alliad executive, bringing the company’s leadership directly into conversations with the people shaping Africa’s future. This format draws on the diverse expertise and perspectives of Alliad’s leadership team, with each executive leading conversations aligned with their own areas of experience and insight.

The approach allows the podcast to become more than a platform for commentary. It creates direct, leadership-led conversations between Alliad and the wider African business, development and investment ecosystem, reflecting the company’s belief that meaningful partnerships begin with understanding, listening and dialogue.

“Africa’s transformation will depend on our ability to move from ambition to execution — building the infrastructure, businesses and partnerships needed to create lasting value. Empowering Africa creates a space for those driving this work to share their experiences and bring African voices into the global conversation. Through the podcast, we hope to explore how Africa can translate its potential into sustainable and inclusive growth.” — Rashad Sinokrot, Global Chief Executive Officer, Alliad

  • Benjamin Ovio, Chief Responsibility Executive, ENDIP International Development Limited

Each episode is designed to move beyond conventional commentary and explore what it takes to execute, scale and deliver meaningful impact — bringing practical experiences and diverse perspectives into the wider conversation about Africa’s future.

For Alliad, Empowering Africa builds on the company’s growing presence across the continent and its engagement with governments, businesses and development partners in Kenya, Uganda, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, Tanzania, Angola and Cameroon, while supporting its broader ambitions across priority markets including Ghana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Benin, Togo and Guinea-Conakry, among others. Through these markets, the podcast provides a platform to explore the practical realities of delivering infrastructure, strengthening supply chains, expanding access to essential services and supporting sustainable economic development across Africa.

The podcast provides another platform to explore the practical realities of delivering infrastructure, strengthening supply chains, expanding access to essential services and supporting sustainable economic development across Africa — while creating space for the partnerships and conversations that can help turn these opportunities into action.
