The Mungu Feni Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding on Sunday with the Madi and West Nile Diocese to support the less privileged in the West Nile region. The agreement was signed during the 9th anniversary celebration for the Rt. Rev. Charles Collins Andaku, bishop of the diocese, at Emmanuel Cathedral-Mvara.
The event also featured a fundraiser for a four-story Bishop’s Complex, where foundation CEO Mungu Feni served as the chief guest. Feni, who is also the director of EuroGold Refinery and Mungu Feni Aviations Ltd., contributed 20 million Ugandan shillings to the project and pledged continued support until its completion.
During the ceremony, Andaku presented businessman Benard Feni with an award of appreciation for his generosity and partnership with the Anglican diocese.
Feni was also recognised for his contributions to entrepreneurship, innovation and community development in Uganda. He recently received the Best Innovative and Extraordinary Entrepreneur 2026 award from the Uganda National Innovative Graduates Wealth Creation Association.
Additionally, the Mungu Feni Foundation was named the Best Community Transformation Organisation in East Africa at the East Africa Brand Quality Awards. The organisation previously won multiple honours at the 2025 West Nile Quality Brand Awards, including the Quality Excellence Award – Platinum, Best Community Development NGO and Best Local NGO.
