On Hello Mr Right, the search for love has taken a sharper and more exciting turn over the past week,s simply because finding love is no longer a distant hope; it is happening in real time.

This unfolding journey began when the show premiered on March 15, 2026, and it has since aired every Sunday like clockwork at 8 pm on Makula Kika, a production of StarTimes, powered by V&A Sherry.

So far, the third season of Hello Mr Right has served its loyal audience, one that is increasingly embracing locally produced reality television, a buffet of fresh twists, drama, romance, and unpredictable connections on a silver platter. Week after week, the show has continued to draw viewers into its world, where every choice, reaction, and connection feels personal and real.

That sense of realness has already produced tangible results. Uganda’s ultimate dating reality television show has already seen at least one of the 12 ladies on the podium find her Mr Right each Sunday night, who meets all the qualities she envisioned in a partner.

Among the lucky ladies who walked away is Shamim, who got a young Chinese man named Jimmy, aka “Handsome Jimmy,” whose funny and vibrant personality quickly made him a fan favourite in one of the show’s episodes.

While other contestants also expressed interest in Jimmy, it was Shamim who ultimately received the coveted rose. When asked about her winning moment despite the close competition, Shamim confidently told hosts Mr Henry and Zahara ToTo, “Well, we are all here to find our Mr Right, yes? So that does not matter, the guy is mine.” The live audience immediately erupted into laughter and applause, celebrating the new couple on the block.

While people find love on the show, other participants are served breakfast when the beauties on the show find them unfit for the title, Mr Right. For example, musician/MC King Shortie and comedian/ content creator Kasule David aka Davo Omugeye on social media, who was rejected by all the beauties.

When asked by the hosts about how he felt about the rejection. He said, “Gold is not in every house, but salt is everywhere. It’s their loss to miss out on a handsome man like me.”

Even as love stories begin to take shape, the show has not relied on romance alone to keep audiences hooked. This season has leveraged its innovations, most notably the observation room, an intimate and revealing space that has quickly become central to the viewing experience, adding to the fun.

The observation room allows contestants, friends, and family members to watch the on-stage dating interactions in real time. From this vantage point, observers provide candid commentary on participants’ choices, body language, and romantic compatibility. They react instantly to “first glances” and awkward moments, adding an extra layer of drama and context that deepens the main stage action and gives viewers a fuller picture of what is at stake.

“We chose to partner with Startimes for Hello Mr Right Season 3 because of its emphasis on authentic emotion and shared experience,” said Rochart Kaweesa, the brand Manager V&A. “Hello Mr Right brings to life the very moments V&A stands for-accepting and empowering one another, and sharing moments where connection forms. As a brand rooted in love and romance, we see ourselves in these stories because they reflect the kind of meaningful moments V&A is meant to be part of,” he added.

Despite the early success stories, the journey is far from over. For the remaining 12 ladies and the fine gentlemen who have not yet found their match, there is still hope. With the show continuing fast approaching its end in June, the stage remains open for new connections, unexpected turns, and perhaps even stronger bonds.
