Kampala, Uganda — Kansai Plascon Uganda hosted its 2026 Partners’ Gala at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Saturday, bringing together distributors, dealers, and key stakeholders in an evening dedicated to celebrating collaboration and shared growth.
Held under the theme “The Colours of Partnership,” the event highlighted the role of relationships in driving the company’s success in Uganda’s competitive paints market. The gala blended business reflection with entertainment, featuring performances by the Ghetto Kids and live music that energised guests throughout the night.

In his keynote remarks, Managing Director Dr Santosh Gumte emphasised the importance of people in the company’s journey.“When we talk about The Colours of Partnership, we are really talking about people, different strengths, different perspectives, different journeys, all coming together to create something stronger than any one of us could build alone,” he said.

“Each of you represents a colour that has helped shape the Plascon story in Uganda. And it’s that diversity, that consistency, and that shared belief in what we are building that keeps us moving forward.”
Dr Gumte noted that as the company expands, its focus remains on strengthening relationships with partners. “As we grow, our focus is not just on expanding the business, but on deepening these relationships. We are investing in smarter solutions, more sustainable products, and stronger systems, but at the core of all that is you, our partners,” he added.

“Because real sustainability is not just about products; it’s about partnerships that last, evolve, and continue to create value over time.”
Earlier in the evening, Head of Sales Moses Kato underscored the practical nature of collaboration in driving performance across the distribution network.

“Partnership, for us, is something very practical. It’s in the way we show up for each other in the market, the way we solve challenges together, and the way we keep pushing for better results,” Kato said. “Every effort matters. Whether it’s reaching a new customer, opening a new outlet, or maintaining standards, each action contributes to the bigger picture we are building together.”
He added that the company’s growth is anchored on trust built over time. “What gives us confidence going forward is that we are not starting from zero but building on a strong foundation of trust. With that, we can keep expanding, keep improving, and keep delivering value,” he said.

The gala’s highlight was an awards ceremony recognising top-performing partners across several categories, including Best Regional Performers, Largest Upcountry Dealer, Best Automotive Dealer, and Top Dealers in Uganda. The awards celebrated excellence, consistency, and impact within the company’s distribution network.
Head of Marketing Daniel Kayongo also expressed enthusiasm about the partnerships that continue to shape the brand’s presence in Uganda, describing the gala as a reflection of shared success.

The evening concluded with a raffle draw, with several guests winning prizes, capping off a night that combined recognition, entertainment, and networking.
Kansai Plascon said the annual gala remains a key platform for strengthening ties with partners as it continues to expand its footprint in Uganda.
