Al Sham Medical Center was crowned champion of the Eid Tournament Finals held at Arua Primary School grounds on March 20, marking the end of a 12-day tournament that brought together 16 teams.
The event aimed to unite Arua City communities through sports, a tradition that has been ongoing for 15 years. This year’s edition focused on supporting needy communities during Ramadan.
Benard Feni, aka Mungu Feni, Director of Euro Gold, praised the organizers and the Muslim community for the initiative. He urged Arua residents to prioritize hard work and unity, rather than engaging in dubious activities.
Feni pledged support for future sports activities, aligning with Euro Gold Refinery SMC Ltd and Mungufeni Foundation’s vision, and contributed Shs 2 million.
The thrilling final match featured Al Sham Medical Center vs. Najjah Islamic, with Al Sham Medical Center emerging victorious.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Ms Hajat Madina Naham Ojale, NRM Director of Finance, as the Chief Guest, Alionzi Lawrence Dangote, Mayor Elect Arua City, and Baguma Saidi, Mayor Elect for Central Division, Arua City.
