Dubai, UAE — Equity Bank Uganda team is in the Middle East with its much-anticipated Diaspora Banking Caravan, bringing innovative and personalised financial solutions to Ugandans living and working abroad.
The Dubai leg of the caravan kicks off on October 15 at Landmark Plaza, Baniyas Square, and will run until October 20, 2025, offering Ugandans in the United Arab Emirates a chance to explore products designed to help them grow, save, and invest back home.
Operating under the theme “Banking Without Borders,” the Middle East Caravan is part of Equity Bank’s strategic commitment to deepen financial inclusion for Ugandans in the diaspora and strengthen ties between the bank and its international customers.
The Dubai stop follows successful engagements in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, where the bank’s delegation met hundreds of Ugandans working in various sectors.
The team showcased Equity’s full range of diaspora products — including Diaspora Accounts, Equity Mobile Banking, investment advisory, property financing, and remittance solutions that allow customers to send and receive money seamlessly between Uganda and the Middle East.
The dedicated Equity Bank team that arrived in the Middle East at the start of the month to connect the Ugandan diaspora with opportunities back home includes Doreen Kiyanja, Ali Musisi, Bridget Namubiru, Damalie Balungi, and Patricia Nkinzi.
The Dubai caravan runs daily from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM (October 15–16), 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM (October 17–18), 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (October 19), and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (October 20).
Following the Dubai showcase, the caravan will continue to other global destinations as Equity Bank strengthens its position as a trusted financial partner for Ugandans everywhere.
