Kansai Plascon Uganda has unveiled the 14th edition of its flagship consumer promotion, Paint and Win, under the theme “The Colours of Excitement.”

The 10-week campaign, running from October 1 to December 11, 2025, was launched at the company’s head office in Kampala’s Industrial Area, in the presence of officials, dealers, media, and guests.

For more than a decade, Paint and Win has rewarded customer loyalty, strengthened dealer engagement, and cemented Plascon’s position as Uganda’s market leader with a 70% share of the paint industry.

This year’s edition continues the tradition, offering customers the chance to win both instant and major prizes with every purchase of paint worth UGX 100,000 or more. Shoppers will receive a scratch card, entering them into draws for rewards that include airtime, branded merchandise, cash prizes, motorbikes, and tricycles.

Speaking at the launch, Plascon Uganda Managing Director, Santosh Gumte, emphasised the company’s gratitude to its customers and communities:

“Paint and Win has always been our way of celebrating the loyalty of our customers while sharing the excitement that comes with the Plascon brand. This year’s Colours of Excitement edition is about spreading joy and rewarding the people who continue to make us the market leader. Every tin of Plascon paint is not just colour on a wall, it is happiness, vibrancy, and inspiration, and through this campaign, we want to multiply that excitement in every home and community.”

Big Wins Await Customers

Six lucky customers will win UGX 1 million each day from Monday to Saturday, while weekly televised draws will give participants the chance to win a share of UGX 3 million, a brand-new motorbike, and cash for fuel. At the mid-point and grand finale of the campaign, winners will also drive away in fully registered tricycles (tuk-tuks).

To take the excitement across the country, Plascon’s activation team will visit nine towns, where 10 contestants in each location will win motorbikes, complete with protective helmets and fuel worth UGX 100,000 — or a cash equivalent.

Giving Back to Communities

This year’s campaign also expands its corporate social responsibility (CSR) impact. Plascon will refurbish around five schools and five health centres identified during the promotion.

“As we celebrate 14 years of Paint and Win, we are mindful that our biggest win is the positive change we leave behind. Education and healthcare are the pillars of national development. By refurbishing schools, we inspire learners in vibrant environments, and by improving health centres, we create uplifting spaces for patients and health workers. This is how we bring the Colours of Excitement beyond prizes—by giving colour, comfort, and hope to communities that need it most,” Mr Gumte said.

Plascon Head of Sales, Moses Kato, noted that the promotion is equally about strengthening relationships with customers and dealers: “Paint and Win has been at the heart of our engagement strategy, and each year we strive to make it more exciting, more rewarding, and more impactful. The Colours of Excitement edition is about rewarding loyalty, growing together with our customers, and ensuring that everyone who interacts with the Plascon brand experiences joy, colour, and value.”

Now in its 14th year, Paint and Win continues to build on the success of past editions, reinforcing Plascon’s leadership in Uganda’s paint industry and highlighting the company’s long-term commitment to enriching lives through colour, innovation, and community investment.
