In a significant development for Uganda’s oil and gas industry, NEC Security Services Limited, a subsidiary of National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), in partnership with SKA-International Group DMCC, has signed a landmark contract with China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering (Uganda) Limited (CPP) to provide comprehensive security services for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Project (EACOP).
The contract signing ceremony, held at CPP Headquarters Offices in Bugolobi, Kampala, was overseen by Lt Gen James Mugira, Managing Director of NEC.
The consortium will provide security coverage spanning 296km from Hoima to Mutukula.
Brig Gen Moses Mwesigwa, General Manager of NEC Security Services Limited, and Mr Michael Douglas, Chief Executive Officer of SKA International Group DMCC, signed the contract on behalf of their respective organisations, while Dr Wang Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of HSE, represented CPP.
During the signing ceremony, Lt Gen James Mugira emphasised the importance of delivering exceptional services, fostering maximum cooperation, and ensuring the successful completion of this strategic project.
He also highlighted the potential for future opportunities arising from the collaboration between the consortium and CPP, encouraging both parties to work together seamlessly.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for NEC Security Services Limited and SKA-International Group DMCC, demonstrating their capabilities in providing top-notch security services to the oil and gas industry in Uganda.
