The ISACA Kampala Chapter has officially launched the 14th Annual East Africa Information Security Conference, slated for 29th September to 3rd October 2025 at Speke Resort Munyonyo and Conference Centre.
The press launch at Fairway Hotel brought together cybersecurity professionals, technology leaders, regulators, academia, media, and ecosystem partners.

It was presided over by Ms. Christine Nalubowa, representing Mr. Arnold Mangeni, NITA-U Director of Information Security, and Dr. Irene Nakiyimba, Deputy Principal of the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology (UICT), on behalf of Dr. Fredrick Kitoogo, Principal.
Themed “Thriving in the Era of Disruptive Technology,” the 2025 conference will feature masterclasses, hands-on training workshops, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and thematic sessions on AI, cloud security, and cybersecurity.

Speaking at the launch, Maurice Taremwa, President of ISACA Kampala Chapter, underscored the urgency of building digital trust in a fast-changing world:
“Most of our lives are online today. We must ensure confidentiality, accountability, and security in our interactions and transactions. Digital trust is key to protecting our national technology assets. That is why we invite enterprises and individuals alike to participate in this conference.”

He added that disruptive technologies such as AI and machine learning are transforming industries globally, creating opportunities but also demanding robust strategies for resilience and trust.
