Court in Entebbe has remanded the prime suspect in the murder of Ugandan singer, Moses Ssekibogo alias Mowzey Radio over murder.
Prosecution states that on January 22, 2018, Godfrey Wamala alias Troy, a businessman and resident of Kyengera hit the singer on the head during a brawl at ‘De bar’ in Entebbe.
Entebbe chief magistrate, Mary Kaitesi did not allow Troy to take plea saying that the charges against him are of a capital nature triable only by the High Court.
Troy who is represented by Human Rights Activist, Ladislous Rwakafuuzi was on Wedneday appearing before Chief magistrate Kaitesi for formal reading of the murder charges against him.
He has been remanded to Kigo prison until Feb 26, 2018 pending completion of police investigations.
The resident state Attorney, Julius Muhiirwe informed court that police is yet to complete investigations.
