PSST Ramathan Ggoobi has today signed a service level agreement (SLA) with the Governor of Bank of Uganda (BoU), Dr Michael Atingi-Ego, at the Ministry’s Offices.
The agreement stipulates the roles and responsibilities of each party in their operations.
The areas covered in the agreement include: Bank Account management, receiving and disbursement of cash, clearing of local and foreign currency payments, management of letters of credit on behalf of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Internet banking and settlement of debt obligations among others.
The Ministry of Finance last signed a service level agreement with BoU during COVID. The new SLA is key to streamlining operations in light of the new laws and regulations as well as technology used in the financial sector.
