President Yoweri Museveni on Tuesday contributed 8000 dollars, approximately UgShs 30 million towards Mowzey Radio’s medical bill.
The singer is in intensive care at Case Hospital where he has undergone two surgeries, one on the head and another on the neck.
Speaking to SoftPower News on Wednesday morning, Radio and Weasel’s General Manager, Musinguzi Briton alias Emotions confirmed that the President’s contribution was received on Wednesday.
“8000 dollars was wired directly to the account of Case hospital. We are thankful to the President,” said Musinguzi who also doubles as Radio’s Public Relations Officer.
Asked about the state of Radio, Musinguzi said the singer was steadily recovering.
“He had his second operation 3 days ago, he is now feeling better and able to breath without being induced on oxygen,” said Musinguzi.
The President’s contribution comes days after city socialite Bryan White contributed UgShs 25 Million towards Radio’s treatment.
Mowzey Radio was one of the ‘Tubonga Nawe’ artists who supported President Museveni’s bid during 2016 Presidential Elections.
We wish Radio a quick recovery.
