The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) has unveiled two striking gorilla sculptures at Entebbe International Airport. Strategically placed at both Arrivals and Departures, the sculptures serve as a powerful visual welcome to visitors.
The initiative is part of UTB’s ongoing efforts to market Uganda as a premier tourism destination. According to UTB, the sculptures highlight Uganda’s unique status as home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
The gorilla sculptures are part of UTB’s destination branding campaign aimed at enhancing the visibility of Uganda’s rich wildlife heritage.

According to UTB, the campaign particularly focuses on promoting the country’s flagship gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable and Mgahinga Gorilla National Parks.
The sculptures are not only an artistic representation of Uganda’s natural treasures but also an invitation to visitors to explore the Pearl of Africa’s diverse nature. For departing travelers, it’s a final photo-worthy moment, while for arrivals, it’s a bold welcome to the land of silverbacks.
