Ivy Maingi is the General Manager of Glovo Uganda, leading the company’s expansion and innovation in the country’s on-demand delivery sector.

With a strong background in marketing, management, and technology, Ivy has carved a path in a traditionally male-dominated industry, championing diversity and inclusion as a core part of her leadership.

Since assuming the role of General Manager in April 2024, Ivy has driven Glovo Uganda’s growth, overseeing the platform’s expansion to Mukono, bringing digital convenience to more communities.

Under her leadership, Glovo has not only transformed the digital marketplace but also positioned itself as a key advocate for fostering diversity in Uganda’s tech ecosystem.

A passionate advocate for closing the gender gap in technology, Ivy is committed to empowering women and underrepresented groups within the sector.

Her leadership reflects Glovo’s broader mission to create inclusive opportunities, ensuring that women are not just participants but key decision-makers in shaping the future of e-commerce and technology in Uganda.

Beyond business growth, Ivy is also deeply invested in social impact. Through Glovo Access, she has spearheaded initiatives addressing food insecurity, with the company delivering over 500,000 social meals since March 2024 to support vulnerable populations.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies from Daystar University in Kenya, Ivy combines strategic expertise with a people-centered approach, reinforcing Glovo as a trailblazer in both technological advancement and diversity-driven leadership in Uganda.
