Military Police has Sunday morning discovered a number of vehicles suspected to have been robbed by the rogue Boda Boda 2010 group, including a car that belonged to Francis Ekulangar, a former accountant of Case Hospital who was recently murdered.

Some of the members of Boda Boda 2010 who were arrested in three separate operations by CMI and ISO are said to have led operatives to a compound in Nyanama, Muntundwe parish in Rubaga division, where the cars including a Toyota Premio and a Toyota Noah were discovered.

The car, a Premio which Ekulangar was driving prior to his gruesome death was among those recovered on Sunday.

However, registration plates had been changed to UAT 764L while the original plates (UAW 899U) were found in the trunk of the vehicle.

Ekulangar, 49, was reported missing on January 3 by authorities at Case Hospital after he had been sent to deposit Shs 15 million in the bank. According to a statement by the Hospital Management, he was driving a silver Toyota Premio new model Reg. UAW 899U.

In Sunday’s operation, Military Police also arrested two Congolese nationals identified as Kandi Muhindo and Fahil Muwendo, who allegedly were involved in the kidnap and murder of Ekalungar.

The leader of Boda Boda 2010, Abdullah Kitatta, his brother and several other group members are in detention to help investigations into crimes that range from robberies and murder.
