I&M Bank (Uganda) has been recognized as the Most Innovative Digital Bank in Uganda and Best Private Bank in Uganda for the year 2024, by the Global Banking and Finance Review Awards.
The awards, which acknowledge outstanding financial institutions globally, highlighted I&M Bank’s commitment to enhancing customer experience through cutting-edge digital solutions and exceptional banking services.
I&M Bank’s CEO, Robin Bairstow, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are honored to be recognized as Uganda’s Most Innovative Digital Bank and Best Private Bank by the Global Banking and Finance Review Awards 2024. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams towards delivering innovative solutions that empower our customers to enjoy their banking experience.”
The bank’s innovative efforts have led to the introduction of various digital products, including the recently launched ‘Express Go’ digital account, exclusively available on the I&M On-The-Go App. The account offers free bank-to-wallet transfers and redefines affordable, convenient, customer-focused banking.
I&M Bank has also introduced a 24/7 self-serve digital pod at their headquarters, allowing clients to self-serve at any time. Additionally, the bank upgraded its core banking system to Finacle, enhancing the efficiency of its services.
Annette Nakiyaga, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at I&M Bank, emphasized the bank’s commitment to meeting customer needs through digital innovations. “We prioritize the ever-changing needs of our customers and ensure they have the tools to manage their financial lives effortlessly.”
The Global Banking and Finance Review Awards, established in 2011, recognize companies that demonstrate innovation, achievement, strategy, and inspirational changes within the global financial community.
