The Safari Maze at Centenary Park was buzzing with excitement during the Nyege warm-up party. The party offered revelers a glimpse of the anticipated music experience at this year’s 9th Edition of the Nyege Nyege Festival and an immersive Uganda Waragi cocktail experience giving attendees a taste of the three variants of the Ugandan-made gin.

The Nyege Nyege festival is set to take place from November 14-17 in Jinja. It promises an explosion of music, culture, and creativity.

The warm-up featured an exciting array of performances from artists like CR33D, Madhiya, Arsenal Mikebe, Suda Culture, DJ Rocky, Aweko Briam, Hibotep, Reign Drops, Nsasi, and Turkana.

Each brought their unique sound to the stage, infusing the night with diverse rhythms that had revelers on their feet. Revealers also got a chance to enjoy the mouthwatering Uganda Waragi Cocktails which added to the vibrate atmosphere of the party.

Derek Debru, Nyege Nyege proprietor expressed his excitement about the upcoming Nyege Nyege Festival and how it has grown over the years to be celebrating its 9th edition now with Partners like Uganda Waragi.

“We’re thrilled to see how the festival has grown and this year we are going bigger and bolder on showcasing Uganda’s culture and Talent with great partners like Uganda Waragi who have supported us for a long time now. Just expect the best from us”

Hillary Baguma the Brand Manager of Mainstream Spirits Uganda Breweries Limited revealed that Uganda Waragi and Nyege Nyege are a perfect pairing because they all celebrate what is uniquely Ugandan.

The festival is not just about music—it’s about culture, connection, and the celebration of everything that makes Uganda special.
