Uganda Breweries Limited has announced a call for vendors to participate in the second edition of Bell ObaFest. The festival offers opportunities for businesses in food, beverages, fashion, music, and arts to showcase their products and services.
Encouraging diversity and inclusion, Uganda Breweries strongly invites persons with disabilities and women-owned businesses to apply. Last year’s inaugural event attracted over 4,000 attendees and achieved a milestone as Uganda’s first inclusive festival.
“We’re seeking approximately 30 vendors, mostly SMEs, to enhance the festival experience,” said Elizabeth Mutamuliza, Marketing Manager – Beer at Uganda Breweries Limited. “With the event’s expansion to three days, we anticipate over 20,000 attendees, providing a significant income-generating opportunity for participating businesses.”
She said Uganda Breweries is committed to inclusion and diversity through deliberate efforts to increase spend with diverse-owned and disadvantaged businesses annually until 2030. The company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) action plan prioritizes positive societal impact and sustainability.
By 2030, Bell ObaFest aims to become Africa’s most sustainable festival.
In 2023, the festival successfully recycled 83% of waste generated, in partnership with Asante Waste Management Ltd.
Interested vendors can apply to be part of this exciting opportunity.
