Two people have died in a motor accident along Mityana road when a Fuso truck Reg No. UAY 459M rammed into a taxi Reg No. UAT 905K at Nkambo village in Muduuma sub-county killing a taxi driver and a passenger.
According to O.C Bujuuko police station, ASP Namara Justus, the accident was caused by the Fuso truck driver who swerved off and rammed into a parked taxi.
“The accident happened at 6:30am when a Fuso lorry loaded with maize knocked a parked taxi which was at the road side loading a passenger,” he said.
Namara also added that the injured people were rushed to Mulago hospital for medical help.
“The names of those who died are not yet established but the other injured people were rushed to Mulago for help,” Namara explained.
He further asked road users to drive cautiously and to respect other road users so as to avoid such accidents.
