“We are thrilled to introduce the All-New Land Cruiser Prado to our customers in Uganda. In the development of the new Land Cruiser “250” Series, Toyota had an essential goal for customers to be able to go anywhere and come back safely. This latest model retains its legendary Land Cruiser DNA with added exciting new technology giving it exceptional performance both on and off the road”, said Edwin Muhumuza, Country Sales Manager, CFAO Mobility.

He added, “The new design is a fusion of heritage and modernity, and it has an unmistakeably bold, powerful image. The firm, solid stance provides an overwhelming feeling of stability, which tells you that this is a Land Cruiser. We are confident that this model will resonate strongly with our customers, offering them the confidence to traverse any terrain easily,”.

Underpinning every Land Cruiser Prado 250 series is a new platform, the body-on-frame Toyota New Global Architecture GA-F platform shared with the Land Cruiser 300.

It provides the foundation for excellent response, ride and handling – on and off-road.

Equipped with innovative features such as the new Stabiliser Disconnect Mechanism, this model sets a new standard for performance and versatility.

The All-New Land Cruiser Prado for Uganda market comes with a formidable 2.8-litre turbo- diesel that delivers an impressive 150 kW of power (204 HP) and 500 Nm of torque.

This powerful engine is paired with the new 8-speed automatic gearbox for an optimum balance between performance and fuel consumption.

Safety features include curtain shield airbags for all passengers, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC), among others, all aimed at providing a secure driving experience under any circumstances.

One of the major innovations in the new Land Cruiser Prado is its Electric Power Steering (EPS) system.

The system measures the driver’s steering force and adds suitable assisting torque to reduce driver’s steering effort. The vehicle’s steering is smoother and direct feedback into the steering wheel on uneven surfaces is greatly reduced.

To celebrate the launch in Uganda, a very limited number of Land Cruiser Prado First Edition vehicles have been made available.

This limited-edition version of the Land Cruiser Prado features retro-inspired circular headlights and exclusive First Edition badging that are only available on this version of the Land Cruiser Prado.

Backed by Toyota’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, the All-New Land Cruiser Prado comes with a launch offer of complimentary service for 5 years or 100,000km for purchases from CFAO Mobility Uganda until 31st December 2024.

This is further backed by the standard three years manufacturer warranty that CFAO Mobility offers as the official Toyota distributor in Uganda.

The company has a countrywide network of 9 Aftersales centres in Kampala, Namanve, Mbale, Gulu, Arua, Bulisa, Fort Portal, and Mbarara ensuring peace of mind and access to genuine Toyota parts and professional vehicle maintenance for customers wherever they are in Uganda.

Since its inception in 1951, the Land Cruiser has been a symbol of Toyota’s global presence. Renowned for its unrivalled reliability, durability, and off-road driving performance, each Land Cruiser model has been meticulously crafted to tackle the toughest terrains with ease, shaping its legendary status.

With over 11.3 million units sold across 170 countries, the Land Cruiser remains one of Toyota’s best-selling models globally.
