“It’s finally here! We’re glad to announce the 5th Edition of the Kampala Geopolitics conference 2022 which kicks off next week on 15th November 2022, hosted by @Makerere in proud partnership with @UN_Women @AFKampala & @KasUganda,” tweeted the French Embassy in Uganda on November 9, 2022.

The conference brings international debates on the African continent and gives a platform for the free exchange of ideas on world geopolitics.

“Next week, we shall be bringing international debates closer to you on the African continent in a two-day #KampalaGeopolitics conference, with over 80 speakers and 15 panels. Register here  https://kampalageopolitics.com/register/,” said organisers of the conference.

The programme will start with a Twitter Space on Monday, November 14 discussing “Forum Generation Equality – Countering the global backlash against women’s rights thought leaders across Africa” and deliberate on issues of health, security and environmental preservation.

The event will also feature cultural activities including a photo exhibition.

The two-day academic public event is inspired by the flagship event of the “Geopolitics of Nantes” in France.

This year’s event will host 14 roundtables on a variety of topics relating to global challenges, security, regional trends, sustainable development, sport, culture and society.

The KGC is a high-level conference offering an interactive platform for dialogue and free exchange on contemporary, regional and international debates to move global debates to an African stage.
