As the country is still coming to terms with the upward trend of abductions, a body of another woman who was reportedly kidnapped on Saturday has been found.
Brinah Nalule, 22, who until her kidnap was a student of YMCA was according to his brother Abubakar Kabugo, kidnapped on Saturday May 5 from the old taxi park in Kampala. Nalule was heading to school when a group of people who pretended to be taxi operators took off with her.
Reports indicate that kidnappers later used her mobile phone to comtact her parents demanding Shs 10 million. When the family failed to raise the money, kidnappers decided to end her life and dumped the body in the bush in Kabawo zone in Rubaga division in Kampala.
Police confirmed her death and that efforts are ongoing to arrest the culprits and subject them to law.
“The investigations into her death are ongoing and as we speak, there are some new developments which I shall communicate to the media later on. Call me at 3pm for details,” said Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire in a telephone interview with SoftPower News.
This is a developing story.
