A total of 1000 lawyers have failed the Law Development Centre Pre entry exams.
After completion of their course at university, lawyers are expected to join LDC where they spend at least 9 months before graduating fully as lawyers.
However, according to the list released this week, of 1812 lawyers who sat for LDC pre- entry exam only 812 got the 50% pass mark.
According to the committee of legal education and training at LDC, one candidate wrote an illegible index number whereas 13 candidates who had registered for the exam didn’t turn up.
Thirteen universities from all corners of the world sent students for the exams.
Busoga, Islamic University in Uganda, KIU, Makerere, Nkumba and Uganda Christian University are some of the Ugandan universities that sent candidates for the post graduate bar course at the Law Development Centre.
